The artwork in this post has been created using the new Arrtx Watercolour Pencils. Arrtx have been an incredibly prominent art supply company in recent years, especially in the budget cost and Student quality range. Their most recent product as of January 2025 is this set of water soluble pencils from Arrtx. The images place in this post are to allow artists the ability to view and inspect the quality of the pencils in their own time.
There are two pieces of artwork on this page, both were done on Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper using the new Earthberry Pastels which I have just reviewed. The images in this post are still images taken throughout the painting process using the Earthberry Pastels, allowing you to inspect in your own time.
I completed the artwork on St Cuthbert’s Mill, Millford, Not, Watercolour paper. St Cuthbert’s Mill are a wonderful paper company here in the UK and produce some of the finest and highest quality watercolour paper for artists. I have a selection of papers from St Cuthbert’s Mill that I will be reviewing and showcasing for you guys very soon.
The artwork here was completed in order to help demonstrate the new OLO Markers, this drawing of the Vampire Minions was completed on Xpress-It Blending Card, using the new OLO Markers and colored pencil on top for the details. As we are fast approaching Halloween here in 2024, I wanted to try and create my own Halloween spooky art, what better characters to draw than Halloweens Michael Myers and Friday the 13th’s Jason, both Halloween monsters nightmares are surely made from.
In an attempt to help portray as much information as possible regarding any product, I also test the product on a few different paper types. I have discovered over the years that the surface an artist uses with a particular art supply can make or break it. In this particular art piece, I have used the Kalour Colored Pencils on review on Derwent Lightfast Paper.
On this page I have included highly detailed images of the artwork, taken throughout the drawing process, from start to end and in-between. This Faber Castell Pitt Graphite 26 Piece Set is absolutely perfect for beginners and experts within the art world

The artwork in this post was created using the Staedtler 72 set of Coloured Pencils from the Design Journey Range. This piece was created using the Cretacolor Black and White Box Set and on the Strathmore 400 series Mixed Media Toned Tan paper. This is a gorgeous surface to work on and with a heavy weight to the paper, this allows for plenty of abuse from the mediums of your choice.
This was a really fun piece of artwork to create and I am braced and ready for all the jokes coming my way. As you can see I have completed a review of the Arrtx Acrylic Marker Pen sets and in order to help demonstrate their properties, I completed this cartoon style artwork of the Powerpuff Girls, Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles.

In this post I have completed a piece using the Derwent Chromaflow 150 set, the brand new palette count from Derwent and I completed the art on the Derwent Lightfast paper, a top quality paper. As you can see I have drawn a Kingfisher, helping to showcase the bright and vibrant colors in the Chromaflow range.
The artwork in this post as you can see is of some pencil shavings, I completed the drawing as part of my demonstration to review the Mitsubishi Hi-Uni Graphite Pencils. This piece of artwork is part of my review of the Mitsubishi Hi-Uni Graphite Pencils, allowing the viewer to take a closer look at how the graphite behaves on the paper etc.

With this particular review, it is important to read the written review as well, this is due to embedding the 10 second video clip I original viewed, which spiked my interest.
The artwork completed in this post was done in way of helping to demonstrate the new 100 set of Inktense from Derwent. The Derwent Inktense are a unique product and one worthy of any artist trying their hand at. The artwork in this post was created using the Giotto Stilnovo 50 set of colored pencils in way of helping to demonstrate the pencils potential. I used the Derwent Lightfast paper for this post, ordinarily you would not use such a high quality paper with student grade colored pencils.
