Power Rangers Artwork | Pink Power Ranger
My younger Brother, now 37, used to love Power Rangers when he was a kid, 10 years my brothers senior, I unfortunately missed the Power Rangers hype and was happy with my Star Wars figures. However, after a bit of nostalgia set in with my Brother and I was asking him for ideas of what I should draw, he said the Yellow Power Ranger as this was his favourite, which I completed a few months back.
His three favourite Power Rangers are the Yellow, Pink and Black and so I have just completed the Pink Power Ranger in this post as you can see. I have really enjoyed drawing these and so I think I will continue and draw the all of them, the Red, Blue and Green as well.
As with the first Power Ranger I drew, this Pink Power Ranger was completed on Strathmore 500 Series Bristol Plate, I love this surface for marker and colored pencil work and with it being 100% cotton, the archival value is excellent.
I used my COPIC markers as well as a few colors from my Ohuhu range, Arrtx and Art-n-Fly markers. I also used Faber Castell Polychromos, some Caran d’Ache Luminance, Prismacolor and the pink Fluo pencil from Caran d’Ache.
I have completed a quick speed drawing video of this artwork over on The Art Gear Guide YouTube channel, if you are interested simply click the link and it will take you to the video. I will also be adding this artwork as a tutorial on The Art Gear Guide Patreon channel, I know this type of art is not everyones cup of tea, but I will show different tips and techniques for using marker and colored pencils in conjunction with each other. The Patreon channel has a wide range of topics in the form of tutorials, I want to try and ensure that lots of different tutorials are available and not just the same genre all the time.
